I am short of time this week so I thought I would ensure I got the interview up with Peter Foster from Lifeline...Enjoy and share. They run the program again later in the year so if you missed out on this course then plan for the next one.
The interview from last week with Jean Gamble fits very well with this audio and should give us all food for thought about the mess we can create when we do not take time to address the things that hurt us!!! I know I have been much more aware since I did these two interviews!
I was lucky enough to have a whole show with Judy Hopwood last week - and I don't think we covered half of what we could have covered! but I got a glimpse into what Judy's life was life in the years leading up to her life as the Member for Hornsby and what her passion is leading her to do now.
Check out the interview here Hi Everyone
Firstly thank you so much for the engagement with Stay in the Loop with Lucy and my blogs!! I have been overseas and have been unable to do my show for a while but I am heading back in the next couple of weeks - till then there are some repeat shows on - enjoy them, they are some of the highest rating shows. I am then back live on air Sunday the 5th March with an intro to International Womens Day. I will be letting you all know about the Triple H live show on International Womens Day itself - Tuesday 8th March and some of my guests on the Sunday show will be playing key roles on Tuesday show - so make sure you listen in and then come along to see us live in Hornsby between 10am and 2pm. If you have any great ideas for shows, please feel free to get in touch using the contact form. So don't forget - if you want to stay in the loop then check in on Sunday mornings between 11.30am and 1pm.
The end of Mental Health Week and the start of Carers Week was the perfect combination for a show about sleep. My guests was Rachel Mascord who works as a dentist as well as studying for a masters. Rachel had insomnia from the age of 7 years old and struggled with it for the next 25 years or more. Now 7 years into a much more stable evening and sleep routine, Rachel is keen to share her experience so that it can support others.
I would love to encapsulate all I spoke about with my guest Rachel Mascord but there was just so much I could never do it justice so you will simply have to listen!
This week's show was all about Legacy Week. Jim Fairlie, an ex Junior Legatee and now Legatee support for other junior legatees, was my valued guest. Legacy Week gave us the opportunity to talk about the value of community, how it takes a village to raise a family but also a community to support the less vulnerable. Jim Fairlie was a perfect guest as he has had first hand experience of being on the receiving end and is now, many years later is giving back.
Have you ever considered there was a difference between communicating and expressing? Do you feel like your conversations stay on a need to know basis, and are, dare I say it - pedestrian? This post shares what amazing discoveries lie just below the surface if we let ourselves be vulnerable and open up to true communication in relationships. My show today was like being in the most wonderful cafe, having a conversation about communicating!
Neil Holmes from St Ives High School and Oliver and Alexander Moor in the studio with me today, talking about careers and work experience.
