My amazing guest today was Ashleigh Bell, another local dynamo, ex vet and now training to the a personal trainer, who is doing amazing things with her life. She brought great insight to the discussion about losing weight having lost close to 60kg and made it about so much more than food. We asked questions about why programs and initiatives to address obesity are not working, why people put the weight back on, lose motivation or perhaps never even start?
Well worth a listen for anyone with an interest in understanding what might actually be at play in order for us to start designing programs to support children and young people to change the trajectory for their lives and to encourage adults to see that it is never too late to build that important connection with yourself and be active participants in your children's health foundations for the future. Could we have found the key to lasting change in behaviours starts in early childhood and self esteem?
As ever, I learnt so much about what motivates us to change and how, once lived in the body, we can turn that inspiration to support our community. Watch out for Ashleigh - a truly kind and gentle soul who has learnt so much as is ready to support others to build a love of themselves from the inside out. Call out of the day no 1 Comments are closed.
